Five members of the Liquid Blues Band had, until recently, been together for an average of 18 years, and three members, Frank Solari (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Stan Sherer (drums) and Muddy Award winner Dave Mathis (harmonica) still remain as the hub of the band. With the return of the talented guitarist Ron Ferrante, and the skillful bass and smooth vocals of Kelly Stites, this band has developed a large fan base in the Portland/Vancouver area. Through the years the Liquid Blues Band has opened for such greats as Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Elvin Bishop, George Thorogood, and The Sons of Champlin. They were playing blues in the Northwest when blues wasn't cool. And they'll continue playing rhythm and blues as long as there's an audience.
