Frank Solari, Jr. was born in Coos Bay, Oregon in 1952 and grew up in the Portland metro area where he now lives with his wife in Vancouver, WA. After many years as a house and commercial painter and a few seasons working for Washington State Parks, he now works as an Electrician Helper at the Bonneville Power Administration in Vancouver, WA. Through the years he's kept his music career alive playing gigs throughout Oregon and Washington. Frank began singing as he left the womb. His kindergarten report card records that he "has a beautiful voice and loves to sing". Frank has sung in choirs since his earliest opportunities and through high school and college. He picked up his first guitar at age 10. In 1965, while in the eighth grade, Frank started a rock band called the Crown Jewels. They played for school dances and at local coffee shops. Within the year though, the blues bug hit, they switched to a blues format, and "Liquid Blues" was born. As the band weathered the customary early and frequent changes in members, Frank was centered as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. |
